MOGADISHU, SOMALIA — The Chief of the Somali National Army, General Odawaa Yusuf Raage, has firmly stated that the Somali government will not allow Al-Shabaab militants to surrender. His remarks came during a meeting with the army, where he discussed the current security situation and emphasized the importance of the ongoing battle against the Al-Shabaab group.Unyielding Stance Against Al-Shabaab“Previously, we heard calls for them to surrender, but we must make it clear that they will not be allowed to reintegrate into society. These individuals have caused immense suffering and cannot be allowed to return,” General Odawaa said.
