Hudur(Mogadishu24)-Somali National Army has on Wednesday killed nine Al-Shabaab militants after conducting an operation at an area about 20 kilometers east of Hudur town in Bakool region under Southwest State.

SNA Commander in the region, Aden Gabow Isak told reporters that the forces also recovered weapons including three AK47 rifles and one PKM during the operation.

Al-Shabaab did not comment on the latest SNA claims near Hudur town in Bakool region, but the group claimed that its fighters killed five Ethiopian troops in Qantas-dhere district in Bay region Southwest State.

The operation comes two days after deadly fighting between the two sides in areas between Afmadow and Kismayo towns in lower Jubba region under Jubaland State where each side claimed, gaining military victories
