Doha(Mogadishu24)-State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Mohamed Omar, who is currently in Qatar, highlighted the significance of the upcoming Somali Diaspora event in Doha.“It’s a unique opportunity to honor the diverse talents and successes within our community, emphasizing the positive impact the Somali Diaspora has on their host countries and Somalia,” said Minister Omar.He noted the critical role the diaspora plays in Somalia’s rebuilding efforts, business investments, and supporting families back home.The Minister’s comment comes two days after Somali Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre appointed him as country’s representative for the East African Community Affairs.
