Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Speaker of Somalia’s Lower House of Parliament, Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madobe), has on Monday departed Mogadishu for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following an invitation from his UAE counterpart.He is accompanied by a delegation from the Somalia-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Committee.During the visit, Speaker Madobe is expected to hold meetings with UAE officials, particularly his parliamentary counterpart, Saqr Ghobash.This visit follows a recent trip by Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, Speaker of Somalia’s Upper House, who toured several significant sites in the UAE, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and other tourist areas.The visit to Dubai comes shortly after the National Consultative Council (NCC) meeting concluded in failure, with Jubaland State President Ahmed Madobe returning to Kismayo, expressing frustration over the Federal Government’s attempts to reach an agreement without Puntland State’s participation.
