Abu Dhabi(Mogadishu24)-Speaker of the Somali Parliament, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, is on an official visit to the UAE, where he held discussions with Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), on enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.The talks, which took place at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi, focused on deepening cooperation across various sectors, reflecting the shared aspirations of both nations according to UAE News Agency, Wam.The two leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening parliamentary collaboration and unifying positions on issues of mutual interest, including reciprocal support in international parliamentary forums.They also highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing regional and international challenges and promoting dialogue.Madobe’s visit follows a recent trip to the UAE by Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, Speaker of Somalia’s Upper House, underscoring the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Somalia and the UAE.
