Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud has on Saturday canceled his trip to Banjul, Gambia where he was expected to attend summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

But Deputy Prime Minster of the Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama will represent the president and the country to the The 15th Heads of State and Government Summit which is currently happening in the Gambia.

“The Somali delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama is attending the OIC Summit which is taking place in Banjul this morning, he will participate it on behalf of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the foreign Minister left overnight for working tour”, Former Somali FM and senior diplomat at the venue said.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit is expected to focus on pressing issues in the Islamic world mainly Gaza and Sudan conflict.
