Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a phone conversation with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune following Tebboune’s re-election.

President Mohamud congratulated him on his victory and expressed hope for continued progress and prosperity for the Algerian people. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation for the mutual benefit of Somalia and Algeria.

President Tebboune, 78, was re-elected in Algeria’s 2024 presidential elections, marking a significant milestone for the North African nation, which is the largest in Africa by area and the second most populous after South Africa.
