Antalya(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud is Antalya, Turkey to participate Antalya Diplomacy Forum which will take place on March 1-3,2024 after he attended United Nations’ Environmental Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya yesterday.

“His Excellency President @HassanSMohamud has arrived in Antalya, Türkiye, to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. He will engage in pivotal discussions with Turkish leadership to strengthen the longstanding, historic ties between Somalia and Türkiye”, Villa-Somalia said on X.

President Hassan’s trip to Turkey comes a week after the two countries signed maritime security and economic agreement in which the Federal Parliament approved.

Addressing at the Summit in Nairobi, the President said that Somalia has passed the climate crisis stage and is now in a state of climate emergency.

“”The time for debate is over, “We must act now, with effective, inclusive, and sustainable multilateral actions to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution”, he declared.
