Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-The Federal Government of Somalia has for the first time marked the ‘World Autism’ in the capital Mogadishu and promised establishing state institutions caring the children with autism in the future.Ministers of Education, Interior and Health and other parts of the community attended the occasion in which a local NGO, Mustaqbal Centre for Special Needs organized, aiming at to advocate and raise awareness to the children with this disease.“I am proud to join #WorldAutismDay in Mogadishu and witness the remarkable efforts of the Mustaqbal Centre for Special Needs. Their dedication to supporting individuals with autism is truly inspiring. We’re committed to developing government policies for autism support”, Minister of Health of Somalia,Dr Ali Adam Abubakar said on X.He pledged government efforts to develop autism policies. Together, we’re fostering inclusivity and support for individuals with autism’, he said.Interior Minsiter, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi said that the Government is committed to establish state institutions dealing with people with disabilities, specially children with disorders and autism, praising the female manager who founded Mustaqbal Centre for Special Needs, saying that they would support it.
