To prevent accusations against some of the civil servants in the Somali government, today the implementation of the National Policy on Civil Service Grades and Salaries was launched, marking an important step to strengthen the workforce of Somali civil servants if properly implemented. This policy will change the previous system of government employees, focusing on improving job performance, fairness, and the competency of civil servants. The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, who participated in the launch, stated that this plan is a success for the nation, noting that the goal is for both the cabinet and government employees to work together for the benefit of the country.Hamza also emphasized the necessity for all government employees and cabinet members to take an oath to implement this new policy, stating that anyone who does not take the oath will be removed from office.“All government employees and cabinet ministers must take an oath, and anyone who does not take the oath will be removed from office,” said Prime Minister Hamza. The new policy is based on a point-based evaluation system that reaches up to 1,000 points, ensuring that salaries align with the performance and efficiency of the employees.
