Abukar OsmanDJIBOUTI – Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre today held talks with Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh, during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation in security, politics, economy, and regional stability.According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the leaders also emphasized the importance of deepening the brotherly ties and enduring relationship between the peoples of Somalia and Djibouti.The Prime Minister highlighted that his government, DanQaran, has made tangible progress in development, security, economy, politics, and state-building, achieved through effective collaboration with various government institutions.“He expressed gratitude to the government and people of Djibouti for their continuous support to Somalia, emphasizing the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries,” the statement said.President Ismail Omar Guelleh reaffirmed his government’s and people’s commitment to continue supporting Somalia’s state-building efforts, while also highlighting Djibouti’s contributions to peace, security, and regional stability. This meeting is part of a 72-hour working visit by Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre to Djibouti following an official invitation from the Djibouti President.
