Hargeysa(Mogadishu24)-Somalia’s breakaway republic of Somaliland on Sunday said it has exported nearly 3 million goats to Saudi Arabia for services related to Hajj program this year, Mogadishu24 reported.“This year, we have exported 2,600,000 animals. It is imperative that we effectively utilize these animals, both for domestic purposes and economic gains”, Somaliland Port Manager, Said Hassan Abdillahi said.150’000 goats were also transported from the port town of Bosaso in Somalia’s Puntland State to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Oman a week earlier according to Somalia according to the officials.Animals mainly goats, cows and sheep are used for sacriface on 10th day of Dul Haj or Eidul-adha for those performing Haji obligations in Mina or Mecca in Saudi Arabia as well as other Muslims across the world in the same day.
