The approved resolution emphasizes Somaliland’s complete withdrawal from any talks concerning Somalia.This announcement comes after the visit of Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre to Lasanod, as part of his “Unity Tour” to SSC-Khaatumo territories. Somaliland condemned the visit, calling it a direct infringement on its claimed sovereignty and independence.The parliament further accused the Somali government of pursuing destabilizing political actions and asserted that Somalia will be held accountable for any resulting consequences.Somaliland also called on the international community to respect the rights and future aspirations of the local population.
