Hargeisa, Somaliland – The House of Representatives has unanimously approved the first group of Cabinet Ministers nominated by His Excellency President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi. The approval marks a significant step in the formation of the new government, following the President’s inauguration.

A total of 19 Ministers appeared before the House to seek endorsement for their appointments. During the session, each nominee presented their vision and strategic priorities for their respective ministries, highlighting their commitment to advancing the development and prosperity of the self-declared Republic of Somaliland.

The Ministers underscored initiatives aligned with the National Development Plan (NDP-3) and the WADDANI Party’s political agenda, focusing on progress, accountability, and sustainable growth. Their presentations reflected a unified dedication to achieving the government’s objectives.

The Speaker of the House conducted an individual voting process for each Minister, culminating in unanimous approval for all 19 nominees. The overwhelming support from the legislative body reflects confidence in the new Cabinet’s ability to deliver on its mandate.

In a statement, President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi expressed his gratitude to the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives for their endorsement. “Their approval paves the way for the Ministers to embark on their crucial work to implement the government’s vision for a united and prosperous Somaliland,” the President noted.

The newly approved Cabinet is now set to assume their roles and begin implementing strategies to drive progress and strengthen governance in Somaliland.
