Goday, Ethiopia — The Deputy President of the Somali Regional State (SRS), Ibrahim Osman Farah, together with Abraham Belay, the Minister of Irrigation and Lowland Areas of the Ethiopian Federal Government, officially inaugurated a modern village designed for the resettlement of pastoralist communities in the town of Godey.This village, specially designed for the vulnerable nomadic communities, aims to improve their living conditions by providing access to basic services such as clean water, healthcare, education, and formal housing.Deputy President Ibrahim Osman Farah stated that this project is part of the government’s earlier commitments to the people, saying:“Our government and our party are committed to always responding to the needs of the community, especially the vulnerable.”All families benefiting from the housing warmly welcomed the project, expressing that having official property has greatly transformed their lives.
