Laascaanood – The Minister of Justice and Constitution for the SSC-Khaatumo administration, Cabdi Xasan Maxamed Xijaar, announced yesterday that the administration is preparing for the visit of Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, who is expected to arrive in Laascaanood, the capital of the Sool region.A meeting attended by officials from various departments of Laascaanood and Sool, including district mayors, ministers, and police forces, focused on how to prepare for the Prime Minister’s visit. Minister Xijaar stated that the meeting addressed key issues like security, sanitation, and public readiness for the visit.“This meeting is about preparing for the upcoming visit of Somalia’s Prime Minister to Laascaanood in the coming days,” Minister Xijaar stated.Minister Xijaar further added that the exact timing of Prime Minister Xamse’s visit will be announced shortly, and the people of Laascaanood are eager and ready to welcome him.He also emphasized that SSC-Khaatumo’s administration is currently one of the most secure in the region, and Laascaanood is well-governed. The minister expressed that the local population is excited about the Prime Minister’s visit.However, this announcement comes despite the Prime Minister’s Office earlier denying that Prime Minister Xamse plans to visit Laascaanood.
