Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali Immigration and Citizenship Agency inaugurated its third branch in the capital, Mogadishu, today, in the Dayniile district. The move aims to enhance citizens’ access to immigration and citizenship services across the city.Speaking at the opening ceremony, the agency’s Director General, Mustafa Sheikh Ali Dhuhulow, expressed optimism that the new office would help ease access to services for residents of Dayniile and surrounding areas, reducing the burden of traveling long distances to obtain official documents and administrative assistance.Dhuhulow also highlighted the strategic importance of Dayniile Airport, calling on the national leadership to consider its use as a secondary airport to relieve the growing pressure on Aden Adde International Airport, especially for domestic flights.“We hope that the national leadership will soon acknowledge that Dayniile Airport can serve as a relief for Aden Adde, allowing domestic flights to land in Dayniile district,” the Director General said.He further noted that Dayniile is one of the largest districts in the capital and requires expanded government services. He emphasized that the opening of this new branch is a step in the right direction toward improving services and bringing them closer to the public.
