Kismayo(Mogadishu24)-The Acting UN Special Representative to Somalia, James Swan on Sunday visited Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubaland, as part of his regular engagement with Somali leaders.During his meeting with Jubaland’s President Ahmed Madobe, they discussed Somalia’s state-building efforts, the fight against Al-Shabaab, and the upcoming National Consultative Council (NCC) meeting.Swan’s visit to Kismayo followed earlier discussions with senior officials of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), where he emphasized the need for open communication between President Madobe, the FGS, and other Federal Member State leaders to address unresolved NCC issues.
