Mogadishu, Somalia – U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged unwavering support to the people of Somalia in their fight against ISIS and Al-Shabaab, while also committing to helping Somalia achieve long-term peace and prosperity.

In a post on his Truth Social account Last night, President Trump warned against attempts by the Houthis to infiltrate Somalia, claiming that such efforts were already underway.

“We will support the Somali People, who should not allow the Houthis to embed (which they are trying to do!), to end terrorism, and bring prosperity to their Country.,” Trump stated.

He went on to emphasize that the Houthis would be defeated and promised that U.S. forces — which he described as “the greatest the world has ever seen” — would deliver swift justice.

This declaration comes as President Trump reflected on his administration’s previous military actions, particularly citing what he described as the swift defeat of ISIS within three weeks during his first term in office.

Somalia, located in the Horn of Africa near Yemen and the Gulf of Aden, is strategically significant and currently engaged in military operations against both ISIS and Al-Shabaab, who maintain a presence in various regions of the country.
