MOGADISHU,SOMALIA– On June 4, 2025, official government media reported that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had officially invited politicians and community leaders to the National Consultation Forum scheduled for June 15, 2025.

The government’s statement confirmed that official invitations had been sent to former presidents, former speakers of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, former prime ministers, former presidents of regional states, political parties, civil society organizations, and other key political figures who are vital to the forum President Hassan announced for June 15.

The statement also added that the Federal Government of Somalia is currently engaged in various efforts and private meetings aimed at ensuring the forum on June 15 is successful, serving as a foundation for consensus, national reconciliation, and progress.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud previously announced that the National Consultation Forum will officially begin on June 15, 2025, in Mogadishu, with the goal of fostering a genuine dialogue based on the national interest.
