The party’s headquarters is expected to open in Somaliland, Puntland, Jubaland, Khaatumo, Hirshabeelle, Galmudug, and Banadir. The announcement was made last night in Mogadishu.

The first congress of the Justice and Unity Political Party was held in Mogadishu, with the participation of the President of Somalia, the Prime Minister of Somalia, some members of his government, and the leaders of the regional states of South West State, Galmudug, Hirshabeelle, and SSC-Khaatumo.

Key events at the congress included the approval of the party’s constitution and bylaws, the election of committee members, the election of the chairman, and the selection of the party’s candidate. These were the most important occurrences as the Justice Party was officially registered last night.

The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who is also the party’s candidate, gave a speech during the congress, highlighting the importance of Somalia having a multi-party political system.

Some party officials stated that the party will open branches in Somaliland, Khaatumo, Puntland, Jubaland, Hirshabeelle, Galmudug, and Banadir. Anyone who opposes this will be dealt with accordingly.

On the other hand, Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni strongly opposed the opening of this party, which is supported by the country’s top leaders and some regional states. He stated that this party would not work towards justice and unity.
