Nairobi(Mogadishu24)-The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, held discussions with the United States Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Mike Hammer, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in crucial areas such as security and development.

During their meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, Prime Minister Hamza and Ambassador Hammer reviewed regional issues and the comprehensive developmental, humanitarian, and security collaborations that the U.S. maintains with Somalia. The discussions aimed at identifying new opportunities to enhance the partnership between the two nations.

The United States, recognized as a vital ally of Somalia, continues to play a significant role in the transformation of the security sector and counterterrorism efforts within the region. These initiatives are crucial for promoting peace and stability across the Horn of Africa according to a statement from the office of the Prime Minister.
