Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Al-Shabaab militants launched a deadly suicide-bomb attack at Jaale Siyaad Military Academy in the capital Mogadishu, inflicting heavy casualties on units of the Somali National Army.Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, the Deputy Speaker of the Somalia lower House of Parliament, confirmed the attack and its toll on the Somali National Army (SNA). He stated that the SNA suffered heavy casualties, but the exact number of victims was not specified.Al-Shabaab Militants have claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they have killed 73 SNA soldiers and injured 124 others.There is no comment from the Somalia’s Ministries of Defense and Information about the casualties at the military compound or what exactly happened there.The attack came in less than two weeks after Al-Shabaab militants targeted army base near the same location and killed about 10 military officers.This recent attack is part of series of Al-Shabaab attacks in Mogadishu.
