Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Al-Shabaab militants on Tuesday claimed that its fighters killed nine members of the Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency(NISA) and injured others in an ambush attack at Jambalul location near Afgoye town in lower Shabelle region yesterday.The group affiliated media said that the two senior commanders were among the dead, publishing horrific photos on their social media.Sources confirmed the attack near Afgoye town with casualties, but did not provide further details of exact number of casualties or if they were casualties on the militants.The group’s claims come hours after Somali National Army Chief, Ibrahim Sh. Muhudin said that the militant group of Al-Shabaab was facing offensive operations at several fronts and will be defeated, encouraging the army not to get disappointed by the group’s propaganda. He warned the forces against the group’s ambush attacks only, and remain vigilant, wishing them to defeat them.
