Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali National Army on Monday morning foiled suicide attack at Jaalle Siyaad Military Academy in Mogadishu’s Hogan district, Ministry of Defense said.

The Ministry said in a brief statement that the army shot dead the suicide bomber who was intending to carry out the attack at the at gate of the military academy, saying there were no other casualties.

Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the attack at Jaalle Siyaad Military Academy and said it killed seven soldiers and injured six others.

The group carried out deadly attack on the same academy in July this year, killing over 20 SNA soldiers and injuring more than 40 others.
