Jalalaqsi(Mogadishu24)-At least five people were on Thursday killed and four others injured after suicide bomber blew himself up at a tea-shop near main bridge in Jalalaqsi district in Hiiraan region in central Somalia.

A resident who declined to be named, told Mogadishu24 that the body guards of the District Commissioner, Nur Dhere were the victims of the suicide bomb attack that happened during the lunch time.

But sources confirmed to Mogadishu24 that the Commissioner Nur Dhere survived from the attack while the wounded ones were airlifted to the capital Mogadishu for treatment.

The Communication of the district was cut off as soon as the incident happened and curfew has been imposed into the town.

Al-Shabaab fighters claimed the responsibility of today’s deadly attack in Jalalaqsi and added it was suicide car bomb attack and district official was among those killed in the attack.

Regional officials did not comment on the attack so far.

But local forces, Macawisley and SNA forces fought the group fighters and removed them in the eastern parts of Hiiraan region earlier this year.

On the other hand, Several military soldiers were confirmed dead and others injured in an IED attack in Mogadishu’s Darusalam neighborhood in Yakhshid district today
