Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti’s Minister of Defence, Hassan Omar Mohamed, received a high-level delegation of defence officials from Germany, Australia, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden at the Headquarters of Djibouti Armed Forces Directorate General on Monday.

The leaders engaged in constructive discussions on security, defence, peace, and geopolitical situations in the Horn of Africa region.

The international delegation expressed keen interest in the current developments in this strategic cohesion, and noted the importance of international cooperation in addressing security challenges.

Minister Hassan Omar Mohamed highlighted regional issues and Djibouti’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

He reiterated Djibouti government’s commitment to play a vital role in promoting peace, security, stability and economic growth in the Horn of Africa region and across the continent.

The discussions also focused on the potential opportunities and cooperation between Djibouti and the countries represented by the delegation, aiming to strengthen security and stability in the region.

Djibouti’s strategic location in the African continent has attracted global attention, leading several countries like France, the US, Russia, Italy, and China set up military bases in Djibouti and invest in the region.
