Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti , Guine Bissau Governments strengthened diplomatic and socio-economic relations between the two countries as Guine Bissau President, Umaro Sissoco Embaló is on a state visit to Djibouti that will last for 48 hours.President Guelleh described the visit of his Guinean-Bissau counterpart to Djibouti as a sign of willingness to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.“I thank my counterpart @USEmbalo for his fruitful visit to Djibouti. We agreed to strengthen our bonds of friendship and cooperation in key sectors such as trade, education and fisheries, for the benefit of our people”, President Gueleh said on X.He also expressed the hope that President Umaru’s visit to Djibouti would lead to greater “cooperation, integration and mutual assistance” between the two countries with strong similarities such as the established aptitude for “trade and the port sector” and the joint membership of African states which have “signed and deposited the instruments of ratification of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF)“On a state visit to Djibouti for 48 hours, I thank my counterpart President Ismail Omar Guelleh for his warm welcome and look forward to our exchanges which will focus on strengthening diplomatic and socio-economic relations between our two countries”, Guine-Bissau President, Umaro Sissoco Embaló said on X.He is expected to deliver a speech to the Djiboutian Parliament, which is meeting in plenary session. He will also carry out a guided tour of the port infrastructures and Djibouti Free Zones according to a statement from President Guelleh’s Presidency.
