Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali Government on Thursday appointed Abdullahi Mohamed Ali ‘Sanbalolshe’ as new chief of National Intelligence and Security during today’s cabinet meeting, replacing his predecessor, Mahad Salad.

Sanbalolshe is currently a member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia and he served as Ambassador of Somalia to UK, held ministerial positions and became boss of National Intelligence and Security Agency of Somalia twice before.

The Government did not provide details about why his predecessor lost his position, but thanked him for working the nation during his tenure.

But sources say Mahad Salad seeks Presidential Position of Galmudug State in Somalia and wanted chance for his campaign to manage that seat.
