Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Qali Mohamud Guhad, mother of National Intelligence and Security Agency officer, Ikran Tahliil who was mysteriously disappeared two years ago, still demanding justice for her daughter, requesting top Government officials to offer her a satisfactory response.The Cyber security expert, Ikran Tahli Farah was missed on June 26, 2021, a case to be involved in the agency in which she was working for according to video footage found at the time and reports, but NISA said that she was abducted and killed by Al-Shabaab militants.Fast forward to the present day, her family is still looging justice for their daughter, her mother, Qali Gushad shared her profound distress as she continues to remain unaware of her daughter’s whereabouts. Speaking out amidst the celebrations of Somalia’s liberation, she expressed the overwhelming sorrow that has replaced the joy she once knew.“Tonight, my heart is heavy with grief. This persistent sadness has consumed me for the past two years as I tirelessly search for my missing daughter,” Qali Guhad reveals, her voice trembling with heartbreak.She courageously levies serious accusations against former government officials, specifically singling out the former NISA leadership.“My daughter is missing, a tragic consequence of the actions perpetrated by the government she served and her colleagues under Fahad Yassin’s leadership,” she discloses, casting alarming implications.Despite Ikran Tahliil’s case being brought before the Military Court on multiple occasions, no significant progress has been made. Guhaad expresses her deep disappointment at the lack of advancement in her daughter’s case, frustrated by the apparent negligence and unresolved nature of the matter.“The military court has shown no progress in this case. It seems as though the file has been neglected, leaving this matter unresolved and swept under the rug,” she laments.In a heartfelt plea, the mother directly addresses Somalia’s President and the Chief of NISA, urging them to reopen the investigation and ensure justice for her beloved daughter, Ikran.“As a grieving mother longing for her missing daughter, I implore President Hassan Sheikh and Chief of NISA to find justice for my daughter,” she implores.Ikran Tahlil Farah’s case sparked a grave political crisis, and raised deep concerns at the time, It also disheartened to those who once rallied for justice on behalf of Qali Mohamud Guhad now occupying influential positions, as some speculate their motivations were driven by political gains rather than genuine commitment to her cause.
