Hargeysa(Mogadishu24)-Incumbent President of the Breakaway Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi on Thursday announced that he was ready for the incoming Presidential election on November this year, saying he is the main candidate for his Kulmiye Part. “People in Somaliland appreciated the progress made by Kulmiye Part, it won two elections terms”, President Bihi stressed, saying that people choose his part for its historic protection of Somaliland sovereignty. Speaking to the reporters at the Kulmiye Part Headquarter in Hargeysa, he praised himself and his part part while labelling his competitors as failed ones and not new to the Presidential race. The Somaliland National Election Commission (NEC) announced the schedule for the upcoming combined Presidential and Political Parties elections on April 20, and set it for November 13, 2024. This announcement, in line with Election Law 91/2023, marked a pivotal step in reinforcing the democratic process in the Republic of Somaliland.
