Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-National Consultative Council’s Meeting between the President of the Federal Government of Somalia and Federal Member States Presidents and Benadir Governor is expected to be concluded with communique of what has been agreed to during the two day discussions.Puntland State President, Said Abdullahi Deni boycotted the NCC meeting, but his absence did not pause the meeting to take place in the capital, despite technical postponement of the forum in April, last month.The NCC meeting focused on several issues including the constitution, and the war on Al-Shabaab, but other sources were adding that the discussions included possible term extensions to the Federal Member States.“The agenda also includes combating terrorism to ensure a stable and peaceful Somalia that is in harmony internally and externally. #DanQaran is committed to implementing critical national priorities such as completing the constitution, ensuring security, and combating terrorism”, Office of the Prime Minister said.“The NCC convened today in Mogadishu, chaired by H.E. President @HassanSMohamud and attended by federal and FMS leaders, and the Governor of Banaadir. Discussions on the agenda include intensifying liberation operations against terror groups and finalizing the Constitution”, Deputy Prime minister of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama said on X.The NCC comes to an end as Mogadishu hosts other events including the National Youth Day and celebration of the second anniversary when the President Hassan Sh. Mohamud was re-elected as president.
