Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djiboutian President, Ismail Omar Guelleh departed the country on Wednesday afternoon for a diplomatic tour that includes visits to Bahrain and Rwanda. His first stop will be in Manama, Bahrain, where he will attend the 33rd Ordinary Summit of the League of Arab States on May 15-16, 2024. Invited by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President Guelleh will join other leaders in discussing key issues, including the ongoing crisis in Gaza and strategies to support the Palestinian people’s rights to self-determination and safety.The summit’s agenda also includes discussions on enhancing political, economic, social, and cultural growth within the Arab world. Key topics such as education, health, development, global warming, water stress, and food insecurity will be addressed, emphasizing the need for stronger solidarity among Arab states.Following the summit, President Guelleh will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in the Africa CEO Forum 2024 at the invitation of President Paul Kagame. This annual forum focuses on economic prospects and investment opportunities across the African continent. During his visits, President Guelleh will engage with host country officials and fellow heads of state to further diplomatic and economic cooperation.
