Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud congratulated Said Abdullahi Deni on his re-election as President of Puntland State and wished him to achieve his duties.

“The President wishes Puntlanders, the administration and the community for complete stability and development, expressing the Federal Government’s commitment to its role in peace, unity and development of Puntland”, Villa Somalia said in a statement.

The statement added that the President appreciated presidential candidates, the electoral commission and House of the representatives of Puntland for holding an inclusive election which happened in peaceful atmosphere.

Villa Somalia also commented on President Hassan’s trip to Asmara, Eritrea hours before the result of the Presidential election this morning.

“H.E President @HassanSMohamud has embarked on a working visit to Asmara, Eritrea. During the visit, the President will hold discussions with his counterpart, H.E President Isaias Afwerki, on a range of bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations”, Villa Somalia tweeted.
