Garowe(Mogadishu24)-Minister of Information for Puntland State in Somalia, Mohamud Aidid Dirir has confirmed that President Said Abdullahi Deni will not be attending the National Consultative Council’s meeting in Mogadishu next week.

Speaking to Dawan TV, a media group with Mogadishu24, Dirir said that Puntland State withdrew recognition from the current Federal Government of Somalia, therefore, they will not participate the meeting hosted by President Hassan Sh. Mohamud.

President Said Abdullahi Deni was among five Presidents of the Federal Members States and Benadir Governor were invited to participate the NCC meeting scheduled to be held on 20 to 21st of this month.

Puntland, Jubaland, Southwest, Hirshabelle, and Galmudug States are expected to hold meeting in Nairobi, Kenya and issue a unified, joint statement, expressing their rejections regarding to the changes made into the four chapters of the constitution during a planned meeting in Nairobi, Kenya soon according to reliable sources.
