Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-The Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) welcomed the first RwandAir Cargo flight at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport on Wednesday at 2:30 PM, marking a significant milestone in regional transportation.RwandAir’s arrival strengthens the expanding sea-air cargo network, a key initiative developed by DPFZA in collaboration with Air Djibouti. This innovative model, now serving 24 cities across 21 African countries, aims to enhance regional connectivity through a multimodal transportation system that combines sea and air logistics.“The family is finally reconnected thanks to RwandAir,” said DPFZA Chairman Aboubaker Omar Hadi. “This partnership not only reaffirms our strong fraternal history but also paves the way for enhanced economic and logistical collaboration.”The sea-air cargo initiative offers a transportation solution that is twice as fast as traditional sea-only transport and more cost-effective than air-only transport.
