Fafan, Ethiopia (Mogadishu24)– Authorities in Shabelay District, located in the Fafan region of Ethiopia’s Somali State, have successfully completed their target in the national tree-planting initiative, planting 25,000 trees as part of the broader effort to green the country.Shabelay District Commissioner Yusuf Hassan Ali confirmed the achievement, stating that the district has fulfilled its quota under the program.The project is part of Ethiopia’s ambitious campaign to plant 500 million trees nationwide, with 5 million trees designated for the Somali State.
