Baidoa(Mogadishu24)At least two Al-Shabaab fighters were on Sunday killed, an AK47 and Vekon bike were recovered during an operation at Seydhelo area about 35 Km east of Baidoa town in Bay region this morning according security sources.

The sources said that the operation was part of Somali National Army and local forces’ efforts to eradicate terrorist militants though the country.

Al-Shabaab did not comment on the latest operation against its fighters in Bay region so far.

But this comes a day after the group carried one of its deadliest attack in Elasha-Biyaha location about 20 kilometers south of Mogadishu, saying it killed 49 SNA soldiers there.

Somali Police Force Spokesperson said that the six people including four soldiers were killed and nice others, among them five soldiers were injured, confirmed that the attack inflicted loss properties and destruction many residential houses.
