Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali National Army has on Wednesday reportedly withdrawn from Hawadely town in Middle Shabelle under Hirshabelle State in Somalia following heavy presence and movement of Al-Shabaab militants expanding around there.

Hawadley is strategic location located about 50 north of the capital Mogadishu and 40 kilometers to Jowhar, the administrative capital of Hirshabelle State.

Hirshabelle State President, Ali Abdullahi Hussein Gudlawe said in an interview this week that Al-Shabaab is a major threat to movement of main road linking the capital to Jowhar city and often target trucks and buses going to or from the Mogadishu and Jowhar.

The group carried out deadly on SNA and Administrative bases in Balcad district about 30 KM north of Mogadishu in April this year.
