Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sh. Mohamud is expected to resume his foreign trip after Norway, Switzerland, Turkey and Djibouti respectively this week according to Minnesota Institute of Horn of Africa Studies in U.S. The Institute said that the President will attend the 2024 East Africa Leadership Summit which will happen Monday, June 24th In Minnesota, U.S. “H.E President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will give the opening remarks for our 2024 East Africa Leadership Summit”, said the Institute on X. Institute of Horn of Africa Studies said that Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Molly Phee will also deliver Keynote Speech and brief the community about U.S. Policy on the Horn of Africa. It also added that Annette Weber, the European Union Special Representative for the Horn of Africa will also join the conference virtually and update on the conditions of the Horn of Africa. Villa Somalia did not provide details about the President Hassan’s participation to this, but this comes as politicians and opposition groups accuse of president for unnecessary visits and travelled about 80 foreign trips during the past two years in office.
