Mohamud on Monday evening spoke by phone with the Emir of Qatar, Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and discussed bilateral and regional relations of mutual interest following tense between Somalia and Ethiopia over maritime. “H.E. President @HassanSMohamud spoke by phone with the Emir of Qatar, H.H.@TamimBinHamad.The two leaders discussed bilateral and regional relations of mutual interest, exploring opportunities to further develop the close bilateral cooperation between the two countries”, Villa Somalia tweeted this.Qatar’s News Agency also said that the two leaders discussed the most prominant regional and global issues during the call.“HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed with his brother HE President of the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, bilateral relations between the two countries and aspects of reinforcing them”, QNA reported.These developments came a day after Somaliland(northwest Somalia) and the Ethiopian Government reached an agreement, giving Ethiopia an access of sea including naval base, a move in which the Federal Government of Somalia described to be illegal, violation against the sovereignty and null and avoid.Somaliland President said that he exchanged the deal 20 kilometers of the red sea for recognition.
