Seoul(Mogadishu24)-Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre on Tuesday participated the first Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul which is focusing on trade and investment between South Korea and Africa.

The themed “The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity,” the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit was aimed to elevate cooperation between Korea and Africa, by bringing together 48 heads of state, delegations and international organizations in Africa and key figures from Korean government communities, including South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre is expected to deliver speech at the summit by focussing Somalia’s efforts to eradicate terrorism, achieving major milestones and more on the progress made in security of the country.

Hamza is also expected to urge Koreans to invest Somalia in areas of green technology, sustainable development and healthcare.

This is the first Korea-Africa Summit ever held in Seoul, South Korea, and it is expected to open new door for trade exchange, investment and diplomatic relations.
