Doha(Mogadishu24)-Somalia’s new Ambassador to Qatar, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali (Doodishe), presented his credentials to the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sultan Bin Saad Al-Mariikhi, on Saturday.

The ambassador presented his credentials at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by high-ranking government officials and diplomats.

The Qatari State Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed his commitment to working with him to strengthen the bilateral ties between Somalia and Qatar.

On his part, Dr. Doodishe appreciated the warm welcome of the Qatari officials and reiterated his government’s strong commitment to fostering close brotherly relations, as well as cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest.

Before being appointed for this role, Dr. Doodishe served as the Minister of Internal Security since his appointment in 2022.

The Federal Government has not yet appointed a replacement for the vacant position in the Ministry of Internal Security.
