Hargeysa(Mogadishu24)-The Breakaway Republic of Republic of Somaliland on Monday denounced the killing of  Abdinassir Muse Abdirahman (Dahable) an Aviation expert working for the Somalia’s Civil Aviation Authority in Mogadishu.

“While every loss of life is deeply regrettable, we are deeply concerned that this incident is a direct retaliation to the ongoing airspace dispute that has resulted in the weaponization of Somaliland airspace by our neighboring country Somalia. We call on the administration in Mogadishu to respect the international airspace conventions and not further weaponize them”, it said in a statement.

“We urge a through and independent investigation into this tragic loss and bring the perpetrators responsible for this atrocious act to Justice. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, and friends and hope that they receive swift justice for this horrible loss”, the Statement added.

The deceased was a Director at Somalia’s Civil Aviation working at Mogadishu Airport, hailing from Gebiley, Somaliland and it thought that his killing was used with rope and torture as there were no signs of bullet injuries according to reports obtained by Mogadishu24.

Somali Police Force’s Criminal Investigation Department began probe into the assassination of senior official from Civil Aviation Authority, Abdinasir Muse Abdirahman who was found dead in his room on Sunday evening in Wadajir district.

“Investigation related to the case is currently going on, and we will keep the public update about any develpoments”, the Police said in a statement.
