Hargeysa(Mogadishu24)-The President of Somaliland, Musa Bihi Abdi has on Sunday, December10, made crucial changes in the cabinet in an effort aimed to enhance service delivery. These changes are expected to take effect immediately.

In a presidential decree issued today, the president made key changes in key ministries, removing a minister and a deputy minister from office, namely Abdirahman Hersi Jaama Dhooble, former Minister of Youth and Sports; and Abdinasir Omar Jama, the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The presidential decree stated, “Recognizing that the responsibilities of the nation are inherently cyclical and delegated to those capable, I hereby announce your removal from office as the Minister of Youth and Sports, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation respectively. I express gratitude for your service in these national roles.”

The president also made important changes and appointments of a new minister and deputy ministers who will take responsibility immediately.

“In accordance with Article 90 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland, and considering their knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as consultation and satisfaction that they can handle the responsibilities, the president appoints the following officials,” the statement added.

1. Abdirisak Musa Farah Awad to the Minister of Youth and Sports, effective of today.
2. Deputy Minister of Financial Development Ministry, Rooda Jaama Elmi will take a new role as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
3. Saleeban Jaama Diriye will assume office as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Financial Development effective from today.

Last Month, President Bihi made similar cabinet reshuffle and removed four Minister from office as well as appointing new ones.
