Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali Police Forces on Tuesday confirmed that three people were killed and two others injured after suicide bomber blew himself up at Jawi coffee bar and restaurant close to Mogadishu’s local Government House in Hamar-weyne district.

The Police did not identify who were the casualties, civilians or soldiers, but said that bomber exploded while they chasing him around the area.

They said in a brief report that the security forces were at the crime scene, conducting investigations about the suicide bomb attack there and will provide details later on.

Al-Shabaab militants claimed the responsibility for the attack in Hamar-weyne district today, saying it targeted Federal Government’s Security forces and staff of the Ministries around.

On January 2023, Al-Shabaab militants carried out deadly attack on Mogadishu municipality killing about 10 people and injuring more than 15 others after suicide bomb attack at the gate and then gunmen who entered into the compound at the time.
