Hargeysa(Mogadishu24)-During a significant visit to Hargeisa, Somaliland, UN Envoy Catriona Laing met with President Muse Bihi to discuss ongoing efforts to ensure stability and humanitarian aid in Las’anod, Sool region. The area, recently calmed following conflicts with Khatumo State forces, was a key topic of their conversation.

President Bihi affirmed his commitment to maintaining peace in Las’anod and highlighted the role of the UN in supporting these efforts through humanitarian assistance and demining activities. Laing expressed satisfaction with the current peace and reiterated the UN’s dedication to aiding the local administration and communities affected by the earlier unrest.
