Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdisaid Muse Ali provided suggestions on ways to fight and reduce threats from Al-Shabaab and IS militants to the Government.He said that the Federal Government of Somalia must make efforts to promote governance, credible judicial services, peace-building and conflict resolution processes.“If FGS wants to reduce the significance of AS & Daesh in Somalia -efforts must be made to have a gov that is accountable & with transparent governance, credible judicial, peace-building & conflict resolution processes, & more fair allocation of economic &social resources”, Muse said.The Minister expressed dissatisfaction about Government’s activity to deliver prospects for the citizens and especially for the marginalized who are most vulnerable to the influence of Al Shabaab that there was urgent need to have legitimate local processes and effective institutions.“There is urgent need to have legitimate local processes & effective institutions, (1 man rule isn’t sustainable) as well as to deliver an inclusive livelihood prospects for the citizens & especially for the marginalized who are most vulnerable to the influence of Al Shabaab”, he said.The Minster’s remarks came days after Al-Shabaab militants intensified pre-dawn attacks at SNA bases in Mudug region central Somalia, inflicting heavy casualties while the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia reduced 3,000 soldiers based in 7 forward operation bases in the country.
