Manama(Mogadishu24)-Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre delivered a keynote speech at the 33rd session of the Arab League summit, emphasizing Somalia’s recent accomplishments and its commitment to regional solidarity. Speaking to leaders gathered in Bahrain, the Prime Minister detailed the Somali government’s progress in enhancing security, combating terrorism, and undertaking development projects.

Prime Minister Barre also reaffirmed Somalia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people amidst ongoing challenges.

On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Barre met with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Ahmad Abdullah al-Ahmad al-Sabah. The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Somalia and Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of unity and mutual support among Arab nations.

The discussions and engagements at the summit reflect Somalia’s active role in regional diplomacy and its dedication to fostering stronger ties and collaborative efforts within the Arab League.
