Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Benadir Regional Court on Monday resumed the prosecution of the murderer, Sayid Ali Moallim Da’ud who burned down his pregnant wife, Luul Abdiaziz Mohamed to death on January 26, 2024.

The live coverage of the prosecution is currently going on while the court while public prosecutors and lawyers are asking questions to the witnesses about their knowledge to how the criminal activity happened.

The deceased, Luul Abdiaziz still remained in the mortuary fridge yet because her parents rejected to bury until they would get justice for their daughter.

Sayid Ali, the murderer escaped and fled to areas under Galmudug State in Somalia after killing his wife in Dharkenlay district in Mogadishu, but local community, regional authorities and Federal Police arrested him and brought Mogadishu to face charges against his crime according to the police.

He married Luul Abdiazis Mohamed, a widow with six children working at Mogadishu International Airport after the death of her former husband in 2023. Her killing case created public outrage across the country as well as the world.

It is now known what decision would the court take against the murderer so far, but calls for fair justice are mounting.
